What We Are

Chase Productions is a mid sized commercial recording studio located in Methuen, MA about 20 minutes north of Boston. Built in 2001 it has since built a reputation in the Greater Boston community of musicians for excellent results and a creative, comfortable, laid-back atmosphere.

Gear and Software

Recording sessions are run primarily on Avid ProTools software, other software capabilities include Digital Performer and Logic. With a number of high quality mic pre amps, including Neve, Avalon and Manley, and an assortment of high quality Neumann, AKG, Rode, Sennheiser, Shure and Audio Technica microphones world class recording quality is easily within reach.

Three Live Rooms

With rooms ranging from an isolation booth large enough to comfortably record an Upright Bass to an enormous loud room with enough space to easily record 3 full sized drumsets, we can easily accomodate just about any project.

Control Room

A spacious, comfortable control room with plenty of room to sit, stand, watch, relax, compose, and with DI capabilities, often perform and record.

Lounge

Just outside the control room we have a lounge with a small kitchen and full bathroom, fully isolated from the control room. Feel free to relax, have a cup of coffee, read a magazine, talk, cook yourself a full meal without interupting a session going on in the next room!

Jon Chase

Chase Productions founder and head producer/engineer, Jon Chase, has been professionally performing, recording and producing music for over 30 years. He attended Berklee College of Music as a Composition Major and a Drummer and now he currently teaches classes in production and engineering in the Contemporary Writing and Production Department at Berklee.

Jon's specialty is vocal production. Over the years he has recorded hundreds of vocalists and has left every one very satisfied with their final product.

Aaron Chase

Studio Manager, producer/engineer, songwriter and teacher, Aaron Chase, has been performing, recording and teaching music for over 7 years now. He graduated from Berklee College of music with a degree in songwriting and guitar performance.

Aaron is Jon's son, has grown up in his fathers recording studio and has felt at home in recording studios ever since. Returning to the family business after attending Berklee, Aaron brings fresh ideas and a new perspective to the recording process.
